24 ICCA international conferences in Nantes in 2016
With 24 international conferences held in Nantes in 2016 including 13 at La Cité Nantes Congress Centre, the Destination ranks 107th in the ICCA listing (International Congress and Convention Association – International Ranking of Cities that host conferences), gaining 50 places compared to 2015.
Excellent results in 2016 with a positive economic impact for the region
In 2016, La Cité showed an outstanding performance with 152 events representing nearly 192,000 delegate days. These results show the ability of our organisations to host world-class events and gain market share in the professional meetings business.
2016, Nantes consolidates its international positioning
In 2016, Nantes’ international dimension was confirmed with the hosting of the 26th SETAC Europe Annual Meeting (22/26 May). La Cité Nantes Congress Centre welcomed over 2,000 international experts from 60 countries over 5 days. The scientists exchanged on the latest news about environmental sciences, with the aim of improving environmental chemistry and eco-toxicology.
In 2016, La Cité hosted 28 international events and 17 world congresses are already planned for 2017.
